Electrical
and Controls Engineering is the backbone for our automated
machinery systems. Integration of the electrical controls
with the mechanical design at the beginning of the project
is critical to providing the equipment that meets our customer
needs.
Our
programmers use the
IEC 1131 programming standards
to minimize
startup and debug time for
the equipment. Most of the equipment
is supplied with touch screen
operator interfaces.
These
interfaces provide for intuitive
and easy to use control of the
equipment which is specially designed
to fit our customer needs.
Safety
is a primary concern at Southern
Engineering and all of our machinery
is reviewed to be sure it meets
or exceeds the OSHA and IEC standards.
Emergency stop buttons, light
curtains, floor mats and safety
door switches are some of the
items found in our safety package.
Many of our machines are equipped
with a dial up modem or TCP/IP
connection to assist with customer
requested onsite programming changes.
We are experienced in all forms
of PLC and PC based programming
and we are able to provide a system
that will complement your current
electrical requirements and specifications.
